Hi! This is the first post of the Cup Your Cake Tour Blog. So, I will take this time to introduce, explain, divulge some information about who we are and what we do.
We are This Condition (www.myspace.com/thiscondition), a band from Long Island, NY. We make pop/rock/punk/emo/death metal sounds. Chances are if you are here on this page you already knew that. But, hey, you never know what the cat, or should I say, the cat's ass, might drag in. Oh, I guess I should inform you, as it may become relevant in future posts, the term "cat's ass" is used to describe something (anything) that is beyond the limits of cool or awesome. If you would like the history or more information on the phrase you should speak to Gary Giambalvo (Anthony's Dad) because we actually have no idea where it came from or why it means what it means (if it even actually means that).
So, whose int he band? Well, let me tell you.
There's Anthony. He plays lead parts on an orange guitar. He has the most tattoos in the band and the longest hair. His mother, Connie, is the real reason we keep him in the band. She makes delicious quiche and cake (of the cupped and un-cupped variety).
Then there is Stephen. He is the second most tattooed person in the band. He hugs a lot and is a heavy drinker of Arizona Iced Tea. He plays drums pretty decently. Oh, and he sings some back up vocals which is, um, pretty, uh, cool.
Nicky C! He has the coolest hair in the band. Some people call him "Curly," although, he doesn't prefer it and will prolly be annoyed that I put that in here. He plays bass and his rig is annoyingly large and heavy.
Michael, sir, Michael. Mikey plays the other electric six string in the band. Mike is the tallest, most skyscraper-ish member of the band. We had to buy a van with a custom 8 ft ceiling so he could stand up in it. He has a new amp that he thinks is the cat's ass.
And I am Nate. I sing and use the "I'm the singer" excuse for everything I don't want to do.
Ok, so, that's us and this our tour blog. This is the Cup Your Cake Tour--a dedication and celebration of the mastery, beauty and brilliance of music and man's greatest creation, the cupcake. Check the dates and we hope to see you, or have seen you on our journey by the time it ends, tragically, or not, on June 28!
Love,
This Condition
